I regularly run art and craft workshops in Aberdeenshire and further afield, for both adults and (special needs) children. My workshops both suit beginners and more experienced people.

More information about the workshops I have done in the past can be found in my newsletter archive .

PLANNED FOR 2019:

Creative Kids Camp@The Barn
Two weeks of art-focused experiences to stir their imagination. I will be running art sessions on Monday 22 July and Monday 12 August. Each day children will get to try two different activities led by professional tutors as well as exploring the Wild Garden where we will spend lunch time each day.
The camp is suitable for kids going into P4 - 7 after the summer. Children can be dropped off at 9am and collected at 5pm daily and should bring a packed lunch each day. £140 per week or £30 per day.
Book your ticket here .

Organise your own art workshop

If you have something special to celebrate or want to be creative with a group of friends or colleagues, just arrange a venue, hire me and I will design, organise and run an inspiring workshop which is tailored to your requirements!

TESTIMONIALS

I learned to let go, to combine various skills, apply colour creatively, use imagination, relax.
Participant workshop Creative Sketchbook

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Brilliant, interested, passionate teacher.
Participant workshop Creative Sketchbook

I gained a little more patience for creating rather than expecting perfection from the outset. Lots of new techniques which I’ll definitely try again.

Fenneke has successfully delivered a range of creative workshops for children and adults at the Barn that were well received and of the highest queality. She was also selected to exhibit at the Barn in 2016 as part of NEOS and her papercut design has also been used by the Barn as part of our signage around the venue. We intend to continue to support Fenneke in the future.

the Barn

Fenneke ran a mixed media art workshop during a recent Reenergise retreat weekend and it was wonderful! The participants loved every minute and produced some fabulous works of art even though many of them said they were either not very arty or hadn’t done any since school. Fenneke’s meticulous preparation, talent and enthusiastic teaching style combined made it a hugely enjoyable and productive afternoon for everyone and we’d love to have her along as a tutor on future weekends!

Being Fenneke’s father I had the privilege to get a one to one mixed media workshop from her in her new studio in Banchory.
I myself am an experienced amateur painter, but with respect to mixed media I had to learn something from my daughter. She knows me of course, but the way she made me familiar with mixed media will be suitable for everyone who has feeling for painting.
She is actually not a teacher but more a coach who knows how to transfer her knowledge and skills and how to inspire and stimulate her client. Just by giving simple instructions and suggestions and keeping an imaginative distance she created the right environment for me to enjoy experimenting with this new technique. I now see many new possibilities with this technique and will apply this in my own painting style and that is what I had come for.

Fenneke is an inspiration to work with. I teamed up with her to exhibit in my venue The Creamery for the North East Open Studios and have participated in and observed her art and creativity workshops. She is a wonderful teacher, talented artist, a pleasure to work with and her integrity in all dealings is profound.
